SECADIS Technology

The Alternative Way to Powerful Disinfection – Eco friendly & Effective.

The innovative construction of the electrolysis reactors and the special membranes, among others, ensure the generation of a highly potent and unrivalled natural disinfectant and detergent – the anolyte and catholyte.

In contrary to conventional ECA products, LA ROSSA – TECHNOLOGIES is using a patented production process which provides several benefits. A commonly accepted downside of ECA products is the lack of stability relating to efficacy levels as time goes by.
Through our patented process, a very high concentration of active chlorine and an exceptionally long shelf life of 24 months of the anolyte solution is obtained, which makes SECADIS products unique.
The produced anolyte contains HOCl and a mixture of oxidants which have strong sanitising effects. The catholyte is a washing detergent which contains sodium hydroxide as active substance.

SECADIS production devices with different characteristics can be designed depending on the required application area and clients’ needs.

EFFICACY

SECADIS products provide a wide range of efficacy. They are highly effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and, in contrast to conventional disinfectants, even eliminate spores.

To determine the antimicrobial efficacy, tests have been conducted by independent laboratories according to the standard methods of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie (DGHM) for assessing chemical disinfectant procedures, status 1981 and 2001.

The qualitative suspension test demonstrates that even low concentrations of the SECADIS Anolyte (2% – 7,5 %) are sufficient to fully inactivate the tested microorganisms after an exposure of 1 minute.

In the quantitative suspension test, a >4 or >5 log reduction was reached within 5 minutes contact time for all tested microorganisms. The solutions are highly effective against resistant germs without building new resistances.

A quantitative suspension test with a 50% SECADIS concentration on Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA - Types W 4455/95 and W8050/94) showed a >4 log reduction within 5 minutes. The tests were conducted according to DIN EN 1040 (2006 - 13).

The efficacy of SECADIS against Legionella pneumophila was tested according to DIN EN 13623 (2010 - 12). A concentration of 2% SECADIS and a contact time of 60 min shows a >4 log reduction.

COMPARISON SECADIS AND CONVENTIONAL DISINFECTANTS
SECADIS anolyte vs conventional disinfectants

The table provides information on the benefits of the anolyte compared to conventional disinfection solutions.

  • SECADIS degrades into its natural ingredients, water and salt, after usage
  • Extremely low working solution of 0.01 – 0.05 % active chlorine safe, non-allergenic, non-toxic and does not harm the environment
  • Broad antimicrobial spectrum including spores
  • Eliminates biofilms
  • No tolerance/resistance buildup by microorganisms against anolyte
  • Extremely low production costs in case of in-situ approach
